Einladung: Balkan Support Conference 2.0 & NoBordercamp in Griechenland // 23./24. April // Göttingen

Balkan Support Conference 2.0 & NoBordercamp in Griechenland

Einladung zum bundesweiten Treffen am 23./24. April in

einzubringen.

Was geschah bisher?
In Thessaloniki gab es am 7. März ein Vorbereitungstreffen von ca. einem
Dutzend Lokalen sowie einigen internationalen Gruppen. Hier ein kurzer
Abriss:

Balkan Support Conference 2.0 & Preparation for NoBorderCamp in Greece
Invitation for the German-wide meeting on 23./24. April in Göttingen in OM10 (Obere Masch Straße 10)
We will continue where we ended to work on at the network-meeting „Balkan Support Conference“ in February in Göttingen and invite you to a further meeting. There will be the space to pick up the started discussions, plans and working groups – but especially we want to invite you to prepare together for the No-Border-Camp from 15. to 24. July in Greece.

The borders on the Balkanroute were closed, thousands are stucked in Idomeni, people are put into prisons and deported to Turkey. The situation in Greece and on the Balkanroute has turned into unbearable.
How is the situation in Greece at the moment and what does this mean for the planned camp?
Many of us are still strong-willed to stay active down there. And everywhere resistive ideas from No-Border-Actions and of a Camp in Greece are buzzing around!
Lets bring these together and think more concrete how we can organize this!

Come to the meeting on 24. and 24. of April in Göttingen to talk about ideas for actions and the camp and to agree on how we can contribute concretely. Guets from Thessaloniki will come to the meeting as well.

What happened so far?
In Thessaloniki there has been a preparation meeting on 7.  March from several local and international groups.

Short summary:
The camp is meant to be a place for discussions and actions.
Discussed were involvement of self-organized refugees/migrants and how a longer-lasting structure beyond the camp could look like. The favoured place for the discussions is the university place in Thessaloniki. Concerning the actions the city seems to be a strategical good point for actions at the border or against other places of the border regime.

We see the Camp in Thessaloniki as a chance of a transnational meeting and of concrete action against the fortress Europe. Our aim is an autonomous, self-organized camp without hierarchies to express our unforgiveness with the existing status quo. To reach this everybody should be able to contribute their ideas and realize their forms of action.

Start on Saturday at 12h
At the meeting in Göttingen we want to discuss how a preparation and participation at the Camp could look like.
How do we want to contribute?
How do we want to relate to each other/how do we want to coordinate?
Which concrete agreements do we want to make and how should be communicated for further planing?
How should be mobilized? How can groups and people from further countries/places be involved into the camp-project? How can the participation in such a camp be supported for activists from further countries/places? (travel costs, visa)
How can people support/participate from here that maybe don`t want to go to Greece? (e.g. legal support, publicity work,…)
Which further actions are planned on the Balkanroute and in Greece in summer?

We continue on Sunday, 24. April at 11h.

We are looking forward to a further productive and good meeting!

The meeting will be in English, we can organize translation if you need. Please tell us via email or on the weekend. We will organize sleeping places when you are there. Please bring sleeping bags and iso matrasses if you can.
